Pinky’s Passion for a Parkinson’s Cure started as a vintage fashion show with a purpose on April 27, 2007. We held a vintage fashion show and dessert that night with over $12,000 in proceeds being given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. We had such a good time doing the fashion show, we decided to do more. We formed a Non-Profit Corporation in the State of Washington on November 30, 2007 and received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Federal Government effective that same date.

Our Mission is to raise money, increase awareness and support research for a Parkinson’s Cure.

The money we raise is given to both local and National 501 (c)(3) Parkinson’s organizations that provide support and research.

Our list of supported organizations includes, but is not limited to:

  • American Parkinson’s Disease Association- Washington Chapter
  • Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research - We are Team Fox members. Team Fox is the grassroots community project raising funds & awareness for Parkinson’s research.
  • Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation

Where We Are Going – We intend to continue to do vintage fashion shows, but we have added additional events. We have musical performances, an annual Holiday Party and our annual “Walk to the Future – a future without Parkinson’s disease”. This year’s walk is being held on JULY 28, 2012 at the Edmonds-Woodway Stadium. Registration is only $35 and includes a t-shirt and a box lunch from Quiznos. Look for details on our WALK page.

You Can Help – We recycle inkjet cartridges & cell phones. If you shop over the internet, a portion of your purchase can go to Pinky’s. See our “You Can Help” page for more details.
